Assault on the Carolinas 2021
Gulo Composite was proud to be a 2021 Sponsor of the Assault on the Carolina’s (AOTC) fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest. The Gulo tent was busy all day during the event with visitors showing a lot of interest in our Road and Gravel wheels, including the new GGA-38’s and the GGA-SL’s.
This year it was a deep field of over 800+ riders. The event offered two rides a 100k and 50k with the 100k ride going through both North and South Carolina with a challenging 6-mile ascent up Ceasar’s Head. The 50K ride challenged the riders on Walnut Hollow with a grade of 15% which was a good test for the riders in that segment of the ride.
Gulo Composite’s Ambassador Nina “Machina” rode the Assault this year and stopped to catch up. When asked how the ride went she said, “I had quite a good workout with the Gulo gravel setup, completing the 100k course in 4 hours and 15 minutes!”
This was a great event for Gulo and are stoked with the big turnout and we look forward to the 2022 AOTC. Hope to see you on the ride.
